Creeeeepy! Something that creeps you out

those little albino frogs that people keep in their fishtanks.
they are so gross. i've had many nightmares about them. i have a fishtank and in my dream there's one in there swimming around. i try to get it out but i can't b/c they're suddenly multiplying and hopping out of the tank at me. now i an discriminating b/c their albino, i don't like the other ones either. it's just the white ones are the worst!

ps. i was going to post a picture of one from google, but i couldn't.i was grossed out too much. eeek!

pss. i did find a photo of buddy the frog that was actually very smart. he'd climb up the side of our house at night and sit on the patio light and eat all of the bugs that were drawn to it. a very smart frog. i was not afraid of him so much, he never tried to jump at me once.

Reading material at the moment

i am not currently reading anything, which is sad b/c i do enjoy reading. it's just been so busy at work and i've been getting home late and just want to go to bed right away (blahblahblah excuses i know). i was reading the sookie stackhouse series, but i got part way through the fifth book and just stopped. i think that i was forcing myself to read the books and i was taking them on too fast. they weren't like ready the harry potter series to me (which i devoured). after seeing the list that marlana posted on her blog i am considering maybe changing gears and reading some of those books. we'll see. i'll get back on track soon.

Earliest/best memories

probably my best memories are just walking around the kitchen and my grandma sitting in a chair and just grabbing me and giving me a huge hug. it's something that i think of often and miss dearly.

i really don't know what my earliest memory is. things that i can think of right now weren't so early. this won had to be really early b/c i wasn't in full day school yet.
i remember going to bowling league with my grandma at the old bowling alley on broadway which was ditka's and is now OTB. we would go there, go to KMart for grilled cheese sandwiches and then go to the horse farm on the way home and i'd get to ride a pony. i would insist that gram could drop the lead b/c i had read how to ride a horse, but she wouldn't let me ride it by myself.

one time at bowling the electricity went out just when i was going to the vending machine to get a nestle crunch bar. i got really scared b/c i thought it was the gremlins coming to get us. we had to wait awhile for my gram to get her ball back and i was really scared the entire time.

If I could visit anywhere in the world ...

when i was younger i probably would have said Australia, but now i would have to say anywhere, since i haven't really been anywhere. i would love to see the beauty of our country. i've never seen a mountain, a desert or the ocean!

my dream would be to travel and see all of the great works of art throughout history. art that we studied in college. that would be so amazing. it would be an art adventure. i would like to see stonehenge, david, the sistine chapel, the mona lisa, etc.

wizarding world

You just discovered the world of Harry Potter is real. You've received your letter and you are going to Hogwarts (it got lost for awhile ... ignore the age difference). what are you most excited about?

great topic. ;-)
i would be really excited to explore hogwarts. there are so many different passages and mysteries held within the castle and i think i could used to those house elves taking care of everything for you. i would also be really excited to learn some real magic. i know that the confundus charm may come in handy!

If I could come back as an animal, I would be a ...

this was pretty easy. i would want to be a bird.
it's the best of both worlds. total freedom and the ability to sing beautifully.

if someone asked me this question when i was seven, i would have said a horse. i wanted to grow-up to be a horse. haha. my friend beth wanted to be a bear, so i wasn't THAT crazy!

They should make a law against ...

this was kind of tough for me. things that are my pet peeves came to mind, like littering, not using a directional, stupid people, etc. but there are already laws against stuff like that or at least rules or fines. i really got nothing. sorry. maybe the weather's getting to me!

Superheroes: is the cape necessary to fly?

no. and it has been confirmed in many movies.

what really defines a superhero anyway? does it have to be wonder woman or superman? could it just be the guy down that street that help someone out in need. i like those super heroes better!

Possible ways to destroy the sun

i think it's impossible. and why would you want to? it provides life. if the sun was gone, we wouldn't exist.

Worst book you ever read or started to read

WUTHERING HEIGHTS
maybe it's b/c it was the first book i read after the potter series, but it was horrible. i was recently talking to my friend, holly, about this. she agreed. i thought that it was supposed to be "one of those books you should read," it's a classic novel. it was very demented, sick, and just plain disturbing the way the characters just kept hurting each other throughout the generations. i was very disappointed. i almost stopped reading it, but i really didn't feel like i could accurately judge it then. it was very difficult to finish. it's strange that i chose to read one of the worst books after i had read 7 of the best books that i've ever read! harry potter fans unite!

someone gives you a million dollars with the only stipulation being you must spend it frivolously (no bills, etc. ... ). After making sure it's legit,

i have thought about this a lot over the years, but not in the frivolous sense. i usually think of paying of all of my bills and my families. but if i couldn't use the money "responsibly", i would of course buy things for me and others. definitely a new car for me and an old VW beetle. and a new car for my mom. i would really like to take a really awesome trip to a bunch of countries with a large group of friends. that would be so much fun to travel with a large group and just hang out and have fun.

i really want a dark room with all of the photographic equipment i'd need to keep going until i'm old. i want a really nice large format camera, that i could take on my travels.

i would also like to buy a farm. with a bunch of animals. it definitely would have llamas, mini horses, regular size horses, sheep, pigs, cows, etc. with lots of land too. i would feels so comfortable there. and the land would house my huge artist studio. there we could teach art classes for free and help people with art therapy. it could be like a retreat with a field of sunflowers of course.

i really want to help some people out who really need the money. i'd like to start some kind of charity for fire victims. there really are no resources out there other than the red cross. and some people aren't as lucky as i was to have had some great friends help us out. i don't know if that frivolously, but it's something that i would like to do even if i don't have a million dollars.

ok i could go on forever dreaming, maybe one day...

Hidden cameras: one place you'd like to put one and one place you'd never want to find one

i would like to put a hidden camera on my glasses. i guess it would be more or less built into the lenses. it would be a still camera that could sense where my eye is focusing so the photograph it takes is EXACTLY what I see and how i see it. i know that a regular camera does pretty much the same thing, but it always sets you back a few feet. plus if it was hidden you could get some pretty amazing candid shots. oh and to take the picture all you'd have to do is just blink a little longer than normal. as you can tell i have thought about that before!

i certainly would not want a hidden camera in the bathroom. that's just gross.

Claymation versus animation

VS.

who would win in a fight? gumby and pokey or fred and dino?
it's hard to say. one one hand, we have gumby and his sidekick. both are extremely flexible. they can bend and stretch in any way imaginable. they can even break into pieces and then suddenly reassemble.

then we have fred fintstone and dino. fred is a big dude. he's not the smartest, but he does make up for it in bulk and strength. i mean he can power a vehicle with his own feet! and then we have dino. dino is insane. he is a super hyperactive dinosaur and that bark is just annoying. it could be a good distraction to any enemy.

i think that gumby may have the upper hand here, b/c no matter how many wacks fred takes at him he is fairly invincible. fred's main weekness is that he's "human." on the otherhand if gumby is so soft and pliable maybe his jabs would be less effective. it really could go either way here folks. what do you think?

Movies/TV shows you can quote

unfortunately i can't quote from anything. i don't know what it is, but i just can't remember tv quotes. some of my friends are awesome at it. i think that i must just watch the movie and take it as is. or my memory just sucks at that, but i am super good at remember numbers and random crap.

One decision in life you'd change and why

i don't believe that you should live your life with any regrets. you made certain decisions for particulars reasons. maybe you thought that they weren't the best at that time, but everything will work out in the end. GOD has a plan for you even if you don't think so. if everyone lived with the guilt of past regrets, would they truly be living at all?

Most interesting accomplishment of 2010 so far ...

the best thing i could think of is that i got over passing out when i get my blood drawn. i used to ALWAYS faint whenever the lab tech would come at me with the needle, but since i was in the hospital this year b/c i didn't have enough blood i was forced to face my fear. and i passed (not passed out). i had to have four units of blood when i was in the hopital. i have to have blood draws regularly and have no problems anymore.

ps. these topics are way too heavy for me...
