i really need to get some new photos started especially since flowers are blooming! i've missed them so... our tulips are up and some of trees are flowering. it's wonderful.

inspiration

have you seen Patti's new necklaces? they are so adorable and so "patti". she gave me the little yellow one. i wore it to the mall today and i got quite a few compliments. someone said that she should sell them at a craft fair (they were having on at the mall). i think so too! her creativity inspires me. thanks patti!

cupcakes

here are my easter lamb cupcakes. i changed them a bit from the what was in the book. they were extremely sugary and i'm not sure how "lamb-like" they were.

i did make really cute cupcakes (little lambs) for easter. i will post pics soon. i have a really bad headache. i think all of this rain is activating my allergies again. grr....

good friday

we went to church tonight for good friday service. our church is really sad. it's never had a young congregation and all of the members are either passing on or just too old to go. it doesn't help that we've gone through a lot of pastors in the last 10 years or so. the one we had for quite a while moved to the indy area. we really liked him and his family, but since they've moved we've been lost. we haven't been attending church hardly at all. and now for easter sunday there will only be one service, for the first time in a very long time. we've tried to look for a new church to go to, but my grandparents went to this one and it feels like home. it's just a feels a little left behind...

i know my posts have been very quick lately -- i've been very busy at work. so much so, that i haven't been spending quality time with my home 'puter. i may only post a sentence or two, but i intend to keep on posting!

we had a great potluck at work today to celebrate our friend Matt's little girl who is due to arrive in this world in early May. Congrats Matt and Jeanette! Can't wait to meet Abby!

had an awesome evening enjoying some yummy food with fantastic friends that i don't get to see nearly as often as i'd like.

crochet

i practiced my crocheting again tonight. it's really difficult to work on it with just lamp light. my eyes are so dry, but i'm trying to get better!

learning

my mom and i had our crochet class today. it went pretty well. we were both off to a rocky start, but started to get the hang of it a bit. my mom did excellent. she enjoyed it so much that a bit ago she said that we should practice. i had to stop though b/c my eyes were killing me, but she's still downstairs going to town. i think she'll have a scarf done in no time!

i had all intentions of posting a pic of what i accomplished, but i took it apart to practice some more. i really need to get a consistent stitch going.

spring

these tulips are from last year. i can't wait for this years to bloom. i check on them everyday. the green plant keeps growing and growing. i don't have any daffodils (i need to plant some), but they've bloomed already. hurry up tulips!

hoarders

i watched a bit of hoarders on TLC tonight. i always wonder what those people would do in the event of a house fire. we've always grown up with the question: what would you grab if your house was on fire? i've been there. i grabbed my mom, my dogs and my purse. that's it. i got the hell out of there. i always wonder if a hoarder would just be content to die in their home. if they can't live without all of their belongings like they say, would they chose death?

i don't have anything interesting for today. monday was so blah. the weekend went too fast...
